These are 7 minimalist habits and rules that I’ve learned and applied and have changed my home into a more simplified calm space, and my life as a mom of 2. A few of them are: the 10/10 rule, the 5-5-5 rule, the sock rule, the Tetris Theory, the 4-corner rule.

You didn’t mention where to resell ?
I never buy something because it’s “cute” and I work on one small area at a time – one cupboard – one drawer as I live in a studio and can’t attack every area or won’t be able to move. Then when I need to go to bed – I just have a little bit to move.
I’ve been buying the same sock packs for years
😊
If I buy socks of the same color/style, I mark the pairs on the toes with a clothing marker (numbers, dots, shapes/lines) before putting them in circulation because things happen when you’re wearing them that may change the color. For instance, kid wears socks and gets shoes and socks wet and muddy, and that pair never comes as clean as the rest. My husband’s work boots stained his socks. I don’t like mismatched socks.
One way of not losing socks through the wash is to put them in a mesh bag when it’s time they go in the dirty clothes. Wash the mesh bag with socks. Dry the mesh bag. You should still have all your socks together!
I like sock packages with a variety of colors/patterns to that I can get all the pairs back together.
I get your method, but there’s still trouble with pairs. I have 3 grandsons that don’t care. Eventually they’re wearing 2 different sizes or 2 different styles. Not to say this stays a permanent habit, but it doesn’t help later in life if they need to care about how they present themselves for a job interview or a potential boy/girlfriend’s parents. Why not develop good habits from the start?
